Morningside Lutheran Church exists to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, which results in changing lives and a commitment to follow His example.
Whether within our church walls, down the street or on the other side of the globe, when you serve others in Jesus' name, you are ministering. It takes a team of people serving and ministering together to share the Gospel of Jesus each Sunday morning and throughout the week. Serving is a vital part of who God created us to be and what He calls us to do. We demonstrate the love of Jesus in our church by generously giving our resources, time, talents and energy to others. Through serving, you will find purpose, satisfaction, deeper relationships and joy! You can receive more information about getting involved at MLC here.

MISSIONS TO SOUTHEAST ASIA - Lutheran Asian Ministries (LAM) is a missions organization based out of MLC. LAM exists to share the good news of Jesus and the love of God with the people of Southeast Asia and to pursue and establish relationships with their governments and the churches leaders in those countries. LAM works in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
The people in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam are among the poorest in Asia. More than 25% survive on less than $2 per day. Although the Church is growing in incredible numbers, less than 1% are Christian.
LAM works throughout the Southeast Asian nations to help the poor and improve life. LAM cooperates with the Lao, Vietnam, and Myanmar governments to help in the development of religious, educational, and well water objectives. LAM accomplishes this by funding and staffing projects in Southeast Asia that partner with others to help people in need.
As we meet physical and spiritual needs, we strive to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ with each person we meet.
Lutheran Asian Ministries is a growing organization with numerous projects occurring at the same time. We invite you to partner with us in projects which speak to your heart.

MISSIONS TO GUATEMALA (HELPS INTERNATIONAL) - For more than 10 years, MLC has sent mission teams to serve in Guatemala on medical missions trips. Medical teams include physicians, nurses, surgical assistants, dentists and medical and dental aides, along with kitchen staff and interpreters. Clinic physicians will see up to 2500 people in a week, surgeons will perform around 125 procedures, and dentists will see up to 300 people in a week.
Other teams will install 50-60 indoor stoves for families in need, helping to prevent devastating burns to both adults and children that occur around cooking fires. Each family that receives a stove also receives an outdoor cooker and a water filter. Stove recipients pay a portion of the cost for their stoves, while all medical and dental care is free to the people.
