  • property clean-up

The property team needs your help on Saturday, April 24 beginning at 8:30a! Bring your garden tools and join us for an hour or two of trimming bushes, weeding in the flower gardens and enjoying the great outdoors.

It will be fun to see everyone and a great way to enjoy the outdoors while social distancing.

  • safeplace fundraiser

In April, we want to celebrate the organization

SafePlace, an organization that provides safety,

advocacy, and support for adults and children who have experienced domestic violence.

We will have a drive set up in the foyer until April 25 for you to bring items. We are asking for donations of diapers (size 5 & 6), wipes, and diaper rash cream for babies. Donations geared toward women include towels, wash clothes, socks, underwear, combs, shampoo, and body wash. Monetary donations are also welcome.

  • war eagle park

Celebrate National Earth Day at War Eagle Park on April 24 from 2:00-4:00p. Meet at the bottom of the park to pick up litter. A fun time to take pictures and close out the event with a smudging and prayer song at the top. This is a family event. Snacks, water and litter bags provided. Call Frank Moss at 276-0165 or Randy Hansen at 212-1575 to sign up.

  • biker blessing

The 4th annual Biker Blessing is scheduled to be held Saturday, May 8 at 9a beginning with a delicious breakfast. A special blessing for the Rider and the bike will immediately follow outside by the gym door. Morningside Lutheran continues to partner with Kay Anderson in efforts to raise bike and rider safety and awareness. Kay lost her son Jeremy a few years ago in a bike accident. The Anderson family in honor of their son will again be giving away scholarships for the Western Iowa Tech. motorcycle class. All motorcyclists are welcome!
