  • Messiah in the Passover

MLC will be hosting a presentation with communion by Chosen People Ministries entitled ‘Messiah in the Passover’ on Wednesday, April 4 at 6:23 p.m. The presentation will last a little over an hour. This is a wonderful presentation that opens up the Old Testament and gives Christians new insights into communion. Using the traditional elements of a Jewish Passover Seder, the missionaries explain the history, what each element represents, and how the passover is fulled through Jesus’ death at Calvary.

  • Voices Unite

Voices Unite will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The guest clinician this year will be Stacey Gibbs. Gibbs is an excellent composer and arranger. Best known for arrangements of spirituals, he is highly acclaimed for his ability to infuse energy into familiar works. He will be guiding our group through acapella singing and teaching us about the history of the traditional spiritual. This is a free event. Registration is at 9:00 a.m. with rehearsal throughout the day; lunch is also provided. Click HERE to register. If you aren’t a singer, but love great music, please attend the mass choir concert April 14th at 4:00 p.m.

  • Men's Retreat

Pastor Darrin will be taking a group to a Men's Retreat at Riverside Bible Camp in Story City, IA from April 27-29. This retreat is a relaxing weekend away from the pressures of everyday life to connect with God and other men who want to grow in their relationship with Christ. Register by April 15th! Registration forms are found in the church office and on the information desk. Scholarships are available.

  • Sunday Afternoon Series - Hearing God

"God is constantly speaking to us in many ways in order to communicate His love, comfort us in our afflictions, guide us in our personal affairs and lead us to more effective service. However, even though He is talking, we are too often deaf to His voice, The Hearing God workshop will make the participant more aware of the divine voice and more able to rightly understand God's purposes in those encounters."

Highlighting the Sunday Afternoon Series will be a visit from Dr. Kent Groethe. On Sunday, April 22, he will present a seminar 'Hearing God, Learning to Identify God's Voice'. The seminar to be held in the gym will be from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
